Miyawaki - Urban afforestation

project-image

Miyawaki is an afforestation method, named after the Japanese botanist and plant ecologist Akira Miyawaki. Using this, it’s possible to grow a variety of native species in as little a space as 600 sq.ft. Through this, we can have a mini forest in your backyard. Miyawaki is a preffered model in urban afforestation. ITMIlan Seva Foundation adopted this method with a moto of promoting Urban afforestation. We are working with differnt stakeholders like schools, public bodies, residential associations in and arround urban cities, who can offer altest 600 sq.ft of land for afforestation.

Nakshatravanam
Nakshatravanam, also referred to as Nakshatravana or Nakshatravan, is a sacred grove consisting of 27 trees that are related to 27 Nakshatras of Indian Astrology. Considering the diversity of plants involved, their medicinal value and association with Nakshatras, we customized our Miyawaki afforestation for temples in the name of Nakshatravanam.
