On the day of flood and the following 3 days starting 15th August 2018, IT Milan volunteers hired 2 boats, brought expert rowers to handle these boats. The boats were deployed near North Paravur, Aluva and Manjummel areas. IT Milan also operated an Emergency Cell which connected relief operations, connecting the boatman with stranded citizens and also reaching out to authorities. IT Milan volunteers successfully rescued around 200 people, while assisting in rescuing 100s through the responsive and effective emergency system.
